What is the transforming power of real relationships all about?  That is the question we looked at last Sunday at Bridges.  Over the years, one over-used phrase has been that “insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.”  We all have a deep innate desire to be liked and to grow deeper with those we connect with.  The ‘how’ that gets done is often what is lacking between friends.  Michael Baggett talked a lot about the Spirit of Truth meaning the Holy Spirit.  When we let the Spirit of Truth lead us in our relationships, then the Holy Spirit pours out wisdom in our relationships.  When we lack wisdom and are filled with our own personal desires, then our relationships suffer as a result of that.   God wants us to have and use wisdom in our relationships with other people.  It says in James 3:17 “But the wisdom from above (Heaven or God) is first of all pure.  It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others.”  God is like that for us, and we are to seek out His example in each of our relationships with other people.  When we seek out God’s wisdom, then He alone will give us discernment so that we will have the ability to distinguish  right from wrong, truth from error, and good from evil.

Please come hear the next part of this message and hear more about this transforming power of real relationships next Sunday at 5 at Life Community Church.
