What does it mean to Worship God?  Is it through music?  Is it through tongues?  What does it mean to you?

This past Sunday at Bridges, Jan. 2, 2022 was a Worship Night.  As I looked up the meaning of worship, I was caught on this – to give honor and worship to God.  Our lives are constantly entangled by so many things – mine included.  I have to admit that I walked into Bridges just clouded with so many emotions and thoughts and just stuff.  A friend said to me, this is Worship Night.  It’s been quite some time since I have been to a Worship Night.  I had to slow down and ask myself and God to talk to me.  As I did that, I slowly felt His Loving Peace around me.  I slowed down and just really listened to this 12 member band that Kevin Webber put together and I was reminded of God’s Love for me.  So Worship for me is about slowing down to hear and feel God and to reflect on His never ending Love for me.  I ask again – what is worship for you?  Please comment below and share your thoughts.

This night was carefully put together by our Single’s Pastor Michael Baggett.  He just has this genuine love for people.  He introduced a 2022 Verse of the Year – Hebrews 11:1.  Tonight was also a celebration for anyone who has a January birthday and that includes Michael Baggett.  We heard a powerful testimony from someone who overcame a great deal in her life as well as a family members life.  We had intermittent breaks in music with table discussions that gave us an opportunity to get to know the people at our table.  I know I am looking forward to the next Worship Night, and I invite you all to attend and to see what this Worship Night is like for yourself.
